2022 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count Presentation

2022 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count Presentation
Dear Canoga Park Residents, Merchants & Property Owners: We need YOU!
On Tuesday, February 22, from 8 pm to 11 pm, Canoga Park Neighborhood Council is helping with a crucial part of the effort to count the number of houseless individuals in our small part of Los Angeles. The results of this project provide critical data needed to acquire funding, support services, and housing.
We need volunteers to help with this effort. Our part of it will entail teams of two-three people, one who will drive their vehicle and the other(s) who will make notations of who they see on an APP they have loaded on their smartphone as they drive through pre-assigned areas of the district.
Due to COVID, we are encouraging people to sign up as teams so that everyone going out is comfortable with each other’s vaccination status. If you don’t have a teammate to sign up with, then there may be other individuals you can go out with for this effort so please don’t hesitate to sign up! If you are willing to help with this important effort, we ask that you please sign up ASAP on the following site: https://www.theycountwillyou.org/
There will be a training before we go out and people to contact at a home base for coaching on any challenges with the app or process. If you have any questions, check out the above website primarily or email info@canogaparknc.org and we will do our best to help.
Whether you have engaged in this type of effort before or not, my question for you right now is are you willing to help? If the answer is yes, please sign up or reach out with your questions. https://www.theycountwillyou.org/
With Gratitude,
Mary Paterson CPNC President
