Running a small business is hard enough without extra hurdles. The City of Los Angeles Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) runs the Jobs and Economic Development Incentive Zones (JEDI) program to help qualified businesses in JEDI Zones with free support and cost-saving incentives.
What the JEDI Zones Program Does

Access to Capital, business needs assessment and help finding funding or loan options to open, expand, or sustain a business

Microloan Fee and Interest Reduction, financing support for viable microenterprises and small businesses, with funds that can be used for operating costs

Permit Fee Reduction for Development Projects, reduced expediting and permitting fees for eligible development projects

Compliance Assistance, guidance to help business owners address City rules, policies, codes, and deadlines

Priority Support, business needs assessment and matching with the right support program(s)
Hiring and Workforce Help

Employer Connect, job advertising support, applicant screening, referrals, and job training services

Façade Improvement, funds for eligible exterior improvements to improve curb appeal and reduce blight
